A new video of The Neighbor Magazine!
And below that found the interview:
LINK in Korean.
“I wasn’t able to adapt to the jet lag yet, so I had a little swollen face.” It was the second day since he returned from England to meet Jung Il-woo, who smiled at the monitor. Before starting a new challenge that was still cautious, I had a few minutes to stay in the UK for two months, studying English and traveling. After releasing the meeting at the end of last year, Jung Il-woo did not spend a single minute of his 10-month period. The first thing he did back in society was to film the 48-part drama Hatch. It would be a tough schedule just to shoot, but he also worked as editor and editor of the magazine ‘Kribit’ before the drama ended. After the drama ended, he went on a third Santiago pilgrimage. After returning, he filmed documentary <Wild Map> and traveled around Korea. In addition, he launched a room spray “his,” which steers directly with the lifestyle brand Dayo sense. The evening of the interview, there was a meeting about a new challenge.
“I was so careful in my 20s. I was in a hurry. So there was a blank. But looking back, I felt regretted that I wished I had more challenges. 20’s is a time to learn a lot of bumps and breaks. I thought I should try more in my thirties. ”I can’t define the point in time, but his change began in his late 20s when he first left his pilgrimage to Santiago. So fond of fashion, he packed only four packs in his backpack and walked 40 to 50 kilometers a day for two weeks. I stood on the road to empty my thoughts, but while my legs were moving, my thoughts were rather neatly filled. And I realized that not much is needed for a person to live. The alternate service period also made him feel a lot. “Most of my friends who served together were younger than me, but I already thought about how I designed my life and headed toward my goal. And I realized Oh, I was not a frog in the well. ”In 2006, he made his debut through the sitcom High Kick. He spent almost 10 years with his manager or staff. The people they met were also mostly involved in work. However, he spent two years as a social worker at Seocho Senior Citizens’ Care Center in Seoul. He stepped back from his long-awaited entertainment world and returned to his ordinary life. More than six to six years old served with younger colleagues and looked back at life as they looked after the care center elders. I enjoyed such a long time. During that time, I thought and thought about what I liked and what direction I should go in the future. After returning to service, Jung Il-woo returns to the entertainment world, but still listens to himself and takes on various challenges while taking a break.
Before meeting Jung Il-woo, he looked around his Instagram while preparing for an interview. The atmosphere felt through the feed, and what he had in common these days, had something in common. “Friends call me natural. If you upload a photo on Instagram, you’ll be contacted, ‘Where did you go?’ (Laughter). ”He also said that Instagram’s Instagram is not only a pilgrimage to Santiago, Photos and videos of nature landscapes around the world, including Gangwon-do, Jeju-do, and Ansan, are filled. Among them, the domestic landscape was captured by the camera filming the KBS documentary <Wild Map>, which is scheduled to air on October 3. The videos showed a glimpse of part of the documentary, where Jung Il-woo walked across the water in a lake full of water to the waist, rolling the ground to crawl and sometimes rolling his feet to run a generator. “I went to Gangwon-do, Jeju-do and Ansan to shoot documentaries. The most memorable place is Sihwa Lake in Ansan, a lake near the city center. It’s so beautiful now, it’s a place where environmental pollution is once a problem. After years of recovery, I was amazed at the mystery of nature as I saw animals and plants coming back. At the same time, I thought we all had to work to preserve the environment to preserve beautiful nature. ”
In fact, it has been a long time since Jung Il-woo devoted himself to environmental issues. It wasn’t a special occasion, but I heard about domestic and international environmental news, watched overseas documentaries, and naturally reduced the need for environmental protection. It’s been a while since I’ve been carrying small bags and tumblers that can be used instead of plastic bags. Environmental protection is also practiced through various activities. His room spray “his”, which is a collaboration with Dayo Gam, is also an extension of his various environmental protection activities. “A few years ago, I joined a representative of Deiogam, attending a Chinese Heart Disease Help. I listened to the news that the CEO launched the eco-friendly lifestyle brand Dayo sense and watched it constantly. Then, based on the common concern of environmental protection, we introduced collaboration products. This time, we released a room spray, but soon we will be showing soap. ”His collaboration with Deiogam, conceived from his service, has worked hard for almost a year to see the light of the world. The room spray “his”, which can be called the scent of Jung Il-woo, was tested and combined with numerous scents that are sensitive to fragrances, collecting 200 to 300 perfumes only. It contains memories of nature’s fragrance created by the clear air, the soft soil, the moist leaves and the clear sky. Some of the sales of room spray “his” are used by two people to protect nature. After hearing the explanation, I was curious what kind of scent it was, but the sample was noticeable. I sprayed into the air. His expression was correct when he asked to express an intuitive feeling about incense.
“There are no plans for the second half of this year. These days I’m spending my day getting ready for the new challenges I mentioned. The next work is also under review. Maybe I’ll be shooting before this year. I think I can stop because I have enough trips. (Laughter) What kind of work do you want to do in the future? You want to challenge various roles without being limited to a specific genre or character. The remainder of the year’s plan has not been decided yet, but one thing could be inferred. Jung will certainly fill in the rest of 2019. However, Jung Il-woo, who is digesting all of these schedules, did not seem overwhelmed or exhausted. I was relaxed and lively.
Jung Il-woo chose to walk without hesitation about going to a destination and doing when his schedule is free. As you might have guessed from three trips to Santiago, walking is an important act and ritual in Jung Il-woo’s life. And now he is walking with steady and diligent steps rather than running his life. Perhaps standing on his own path, he will hold the trees and flowers that grow along the way in his eyes and heart, and will walk around if he finds a pretty trail. When you are a little tired, you may take a rest in the breeze. It may be a bit later than those who are looking at only one finish line and run crazy. However, Jung Il woo will be much richer and harder in constant walking time.
