Spoiler Alert!
The episode starts with Prince Lee Geum’s Proposal to Min Jin, the Minister of Personnel and the head of the Norons, to consider him the puppet prince he needs to stay in power against the almost adopted Mil Pung-kun supported by the Soron.
Then most of the episode is Prince Lee Geum carrying out different doings that will compromise the strength of the Noron: elimination by corruption of a young potential prince, the cheating of the civil exams under the Noron, and the most important, loosing the prisoner to Mil Pung-kun who can use him against the Noron faction. There was an excellent fight scene where we see Yeo-Ji and Prince Lee Gum united in arms against what seemed like 30 men? Yeo-Ji had discovered that Prince Lee Geum has been supporting their cause all along and follows him (luckily) on that difficult night!
This sets in motion what Prince Lee Geum wants: a split in the Noron faction…
Then the episode ends with Mun-su hitting his gong really hard when the king is going by to denounce the tainted civil exam scores. He gets beaten badly but it ends with the intervention of Prince Lee Geum and then the king himself! In a way it marks the reunion of the the three characters Lee Geum, Yeo Ji and Mun su for truth, justice and…

I like the development of the plot so far and I like how every character’s personality is well maintained. I hope that as the plot carries on and mostly that Yeo Ji does not loose her strength, and I mean not only in her ability to fight but also the strength of her mind and personality. This I find is a common problem (for me) in many K-drama productions. As soon as the female character falls in love she looses all her strength. A classic example is Cinderella and Four Knights. Do you remember Ha-won in the first episode… the fight scene where she beats that big mouth guy on her pizza delivery? Well sadly, we only enjoyed that once… and then there was that very rare moment of a female character pushing a man against a wall: when Ha-won pushes Ji-woon against the wall after he throws her all the money. Then as the episodes went by… the more she lost her physical strength until when she finally falls and breaks her leg and becomes the typical damsel in distress.
Please Yeo Ji… stay strong!!! I have faith in that you will as the writer of Haechi is a female writer!
And… I loved how gorgeous Jung Il-woo looked in this outfit:
