Jung Il-woo Delights

Jung Il-woo has stated various times that if he wasn’t an actor he would probably be a fashion designer.  He loves clothes and we can see his good taste, his many whimsical clothing and sock/shoe combinations that make him look absolutely ‘chic’ and adorable.  Both his mom and sister have background in the world of textile design and fashion so this has influenced him greatly.

He decided to use some of his drawing designs and writing on clothing to create his own brand we2.  As this was his last year being in his 20’s, he wanted to pay homage to being 20 and how beautiful and hard it is at the same time.  He collaborated with a friend who he has known for 20 years, Han Seong June, owner of The Experimental Store, ‘Xstore’. He used the online shopping mall Beaker to launch the brand we2.

Twenties so-called flower-like.
But the reality is all messed up with career, work, love, etc. What about your twenties?

Here’s an actor at his age of 29 which is the end of his twenties,
released a design named “we2” which means “for twenties” along with cheering message for the people in their twenties.

Why we2?
You are pretty, there’s no one to love you like you do! Therefore you should take care of yourself
“Yes I am precious, I am pretty!” For those of people in their twenties who lost their self-esteem, let’s be happy!”

Who’s this guy who has perfect appearance but also perfect heart?

That Jung Il woo’s mum is a professor of Korea National University of Cultural Heritage and made Jung Il woo’s Hanbok to wear in MBC “The Night Watchman’s Journal” by herself for Jung Il woo.

Of course, it’s not easy to challenge with just interest. However, Jung il woo participated in collaboration project “we2XBEAKER” with his close clothes’ brand to challenge himself for the last dream to achieve in his twenties.

Like a popular saying ‘the natural is the best’, he can’t make it fancy but he wrote the message by himself and drew pictures to complete the design. He concentrated in putting cheering messages to twenties who are having hard times.

There’s a special message included in Jung il woo’s design.
There is a meaning of ‘People in twenties were shining and had happiest time but from some point it turned into worrying hard time so let’s take care of self’.

He realized that the moment enjoying work was a moment that he achieved his dream. It’s too tough life to enjoy it but let’s not give up the hope that we can achieve our dream as we thought and as we say!
Jung il woo’s designing process has been finished like this but we2’s dream and challenge for young people will continue. 🙂
