December 7, Jung Il Woo came to Taiwan again for his 2 Fan Meeting to be held in Taipei. Jung Il Woo immediately received cordial greetings from fans right on arrival. He was so happy and friendly that he generously gave autographs to fans once requested. Afterwards, he left the airport and headed to the Press Conference held at Taipei Regent Hotel.
December 7 13:00 – TW Arrival
Flight delays due to snow storm in Korea
Korean “Smiling Prince” Jung Il Woo came to held his first Taiwan FM. The event was named “The First Snow Promise”. Something funny is, Korea was under a snow storm on the day of Jung’s departure. The flight was delayed for more than an hour from the scheduled arrival at 11am. because of the weather. Although that was a long wait, it didn’t stop fans from showing their enthusiastic welcome. Anyone can tell from fans screams when they saw Jung Il Woo appeared at the airport!
Friendly greets Fans
Jung Il Woo confidently stepped into the airport receiving hall, showing his gorgeous attraction in black long coat with sunglasses. He was so happy and touched by fans’ painstaking effort to welcome him at the airport. He expressed his gratitude with friendly smiles and walked close to fans to sign for them. Some fans even took this chance to give him their presents direct. Because of all these interactions, it took him quite a while to reach his ride which was only a short distant away.

Press Conference
Press Conference took place in President Suite
Press Conference was scheduled to be held at 3pm at Taipei Regent Hotel but was postponed 15 min. later due to flight delay. In order to show Jung Il Woo with the highest courtesy and the importance of his first meeting with Taiwan media, the organizer specially arranged it in Regent’s President Suite on the 19th floor, for which was Lady Gaga’s favourite too. All these special arrangements made Jung Il Woo’s First Taiwan Press Conference into a grand occasion.
No longer an unfamiliar visit for the 3rd time
Jung Il Woo greet the media in Chinese on the Press Conference. Including his previous trip for filming drama, this was his 3rd visit to Taiwan. Yet, this was Jung’s first official meeting with Taiwan media though he is familiar with Taiwan. He said he was so nervous but glad to meet everyone. He was deeply impressed with Taiwan fans’ enthusiasm on his last trip and was eagerly looking forward to meeting everyone in Taiwan again when he was in Korea.
Good knowledge on Taiwan map
After the initial greeting, the organizer prepared a few photos to test how well Jung Il Woo knows about Taiwan geographically and about Taiwanese food. Surprisingly, Jung Il Woo has a very good knowledge of Taiwan geography. Whether the location of the Press Conference or prior visited Hua Lian, he can point them out exactly on the map. The media was really amazed!
Miss the Train Journey in Hua Lian
Jung Il Woo also showed some of his private photos. Years ago when he came to Taiwan for shooting drama, he went for a train journey in Hua Lian. He took many beautiful pictures along the way. These pictures always remind him of this unforgettable experience. He further expressed that he’d like to have a chance to visit the old place again! On the other hand, he is very interested in golf recently. When he heard that there are many good golf courses in Taiwan, he wishes he can make “a little white ball” getaway next time he travel to Taiwan.
Broke record to hold 2 FM in one day
Many Korean stars who came for TW FM or concerts will open additional shows because of good sales. Jung Il Woo also added more showings due to rapid sold out of his event tickets. Moreover, he also broke the record of Korean Actor who held two FM within one day in Taiwan. He was so happy and grateful for everyone’s support. He further promised to make it an unforgettable performance.
Interview Session: Q & A
Q: Who is your most admired Chinese artists with whom you’d like to cast?
When I was young, I admired Hong Kong Actors Andy Lau and Leslie Cheung. I watched many of their movies. If I have a chance, I’d like to work with Leehom Wang. (Little reminder from our editor: Prior to Jung’s TW trip, both Jung Il Woo and Leehom Wang attended the MAMA Award Ceremony in Hong Kong. Jung also presented “The Most Popular Asian Artist” Award to Leehom!)
Q: If you have to cast with a Taiwanese actress, who will you prefer to
work with?
I am not very familiar with Taiwanese actress’ names. However, the leading actress Guey Lun Mei in the movie “Secret” gave me a deep impression. (Editor’s remark: Guey Lun Mei recently praised in many awards, including “The Best Actress” in Golden Horse Film Award and Asian Pacific Film Festival.)
Q: After meeting so many fans across Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and China. Who are your favourites among the girls from these areas?
All girls have their unique attractions from different areas. In fact, I am not in love for a long time. If I crush on the right person, it doesn’t matter where she come from as long as we fully understand each other and think alike.
Q: What is your ideal type of girl?
I admire girl who has common interests and I can learn a lot from her. In addition, she can inspire me and strengthen me spiritually.
Q: You had forcible kiss in your drama. Did you have such experience in reality?
Well…that depends…Haha..May be, may be not.
(Editor chuckled. What an imaginative answer!)
Q: You just mentioned that you were not in love for quite a while.
How long is it?
I am all by myself for over 2 years.
Q: In respect to your acting career, will you challenge on other works in addition to filming drama? Such as being a singer?
Although I have no problem singing for my fans on FM, I don’t think I am very good at it. Thus I don’t intend to be a singer. I would like to concentrate on being an actor.
Q: Any plans in 2013?
I was on several trips in 2012 and it was a great year for me. I hope 2013 will be another prosperous year. I will work harder in order to present much better works for all of you!
Q: At last, would you please give your fans a few words in Chinese to express your appreciation?
Do you miss me? I miss you too ~ (Laugh )

He had to add another Fan Meeting because his tickets (600 seats) sold out in 4 minutes! But he intended to keep them small so it could be a bit more intimate. (That last poster was when he first announced the one Fan Meeting.) Then the magic began… I decided to create a collage of both Fan Meetings because through the sources I can’t really tell apart the photos from the first meeting or the second! Photo Cr. On Photos.

This is the wonderful account of what happened during the Fan Meetings from TW Fans Magazine Vol. 96. January 2013. Tranlasted by “Snowy.” Cr. Jungilwoo China Fansworld
December 8 – Afternoon show 14:00 & Evening show 19:00
Show start with “voice” appearance
Jung Il Woo held two Fan Meeting in a roll at Neo Studio in Taipei. The event attracted almost a thousand participants. At the beginning of the show, he made his appearance with a cappella singing in Chinese song “The moon that represents my heard”. Fans could only hear his voice but couldn’t find him on stage. When everyone was looking for him, he suddenly showed up in the middle of the audience, making fans scream crazily off the roof. He gradually walked through the audience towards the stage while greet everyone in Chinese. He also sang Andy Lau’s song “Today” briefly to show how hard he had been practicing the Chinese songs. Fans definitely felt his sincerity and great effort in his singing.
Publicly unfold secrets in his suitcase
Jung Il Woo love travelling in private life. Hence the organizer specially arranged to have him sharing his travel experiences. His manager dragged his suitcase onto the stage and unveiled the items found in his suitcase in public! The most surprising discovery was 2 big bags of skin care products. We all know that Jung Il Woo is an endorsement model for a beauty brand. So he takes extra care of his skin. He shyly admitted, “My skin is not very good lately, so I brought more skin care to keep it. ~” Then Jung Il Woo explained what were the products use for just like a professional cosmetician!
What is hiding in the “Brilliant” waist sack?
A “Brilliant” waist sack was found in the suitcase. When the host just picked up the sack, Jung Il Woo quickly snatched it and hide it behind him. Obviously some very intimate wears were packed in it! Despite of losing the chance to see the private stuff, the host found his wallet. He found his ID card in it and showed his pretty ID photo! Other than that, they further found Jung’s T-shirt that he wears to sleep, some drama scripts, his exam notes, etc. All these items were seldom seen and were shown in public for the first time in this FM!
Various mission challenges
After revealed the secrets in his suitcase, Jung Il Woo then turned into a singer. He sang the Korean song “A person like you”, showing his affectionate charm. This song was the OST from his recent drama “The Flower Boy Ramyun Shop”. Afterwards, he was challenged with a “Jiu Gong Ge” (a 3×3 matrix game) mission. He would win a special prize if he could accomplish 2 mission routes. There were various interesting tasks along these mission routes, including “play silly tricks to please girlfriend”, “taking a group picture with all fans”, “showing 3 cute expressions”, “play hula hoop for 10 times within 30s”, “kick shuttlecock for 10 times within 30s”, etc.
Beg pardon for “Gangnam Style” horse dancing
Even though he accomplish all the missions, one more challenge, “The Gangnam Style” Dance was added to the list. That was totally out of his anticipation. Faced with all the earnest requests, he shyly showed a move but immediately beg for pardon to let him get away from the dance! All after all, he won the special prize which was a video from his celebrity good friends, Kim Soo Hyun, Dynamic Duo, Kim Bum, Suzy from Miss A and Lee Min Ho cheering for his first TWFM. Lee Min Ho even reminded him to call him for dinner on return! Actually, Jung Il Woo guest in Lee Min Ho’s FM in Korea a few years ago to show him support. No doubt these two are very close friends!
Romantic lucky petal game
The Game session started with the “Lucky Petal” game which was Jung Il Woo’s idea. Jung Il Woo act as the lucky angel and held a rose for fans to pick on petals in turn. The person who got the last petal became the lucky winner. The audience could hardly help their exclamation when they saw Il Woo presented an elegant bouquet of roses to the lucky fan. The language of these roses means “Everlasting Love”! On top of sending roses, the T-shirt that he wears to sleep also became one of the prizes. Moreover, he also gave fans his warm “Love Hugs”.
Live version teasing number count game
Prior to this event, the organizer conducted a “Dreams come true” wish collection campaign on web. A lucky fan was being selected on the event. Thanks to this fan’s wish because her wish was to see Jung Il Woo playing “teasing number count”. (PS. “Teasing number count” is a recent hot game in Korea. We have a detail introduction of the game on P.66! To make it simple, the game is to create cute gestures to match with the counting numbers.) That was really a big bonus for the participants to see Jung’s live version “teasing number count” at the event. Though he was very shy making the funny acts, he finished them professionally to meet his fans’ wishes!
Singing “Fairy Tale” under the First Snow
“Looking for the Dream Girl” is a game that tried to find Jung Il Woo’s ideal type among participating fans in respect to her appearance, dress attire and lovers empathy. That lucky girl got Jung Il Woo sang her the OST song “Scarecrow” from the Korean drama “49 Days”. Many fans were envious of her lucky experience! At last, Jung Il Woo sang a Chinese song “Fairy Tale” as the encore for the FM. His romantic singing under the flying man-made snow pushed the event into its climax. Fans sang with him and perfectly wrapped up this wonderful event. At the very end, Jung Il Woo presented a 3-min. verbal letter on video to his fans and deeply touched all fans at the venue!
Sincere friendly manner
In order to fulfill his promise to Taiwan fans, Jung Il Woo worked so hard in learning Chinese and practice singing Chinese songs. He tried his very best to present different programs and details for his 2 FM, and showed how much he cared about this overseas event. On the event day, he arrived at the venue in early morning and immediate began rehearsals. He even practice on singing during the short breaks in between showings. His sincere effort greatly impressed many colleagues. Jung Il Woo is a very friendly and polite person. No wonder he is a heartthrob that attracted lots of fans. We are all looking forward to his next visit to Taiwan for another date with fans!
