Welcome to the year 2016 of Jung Il-woo’s professional life!
This year he continued to work so much! As his military enlistment was near, Jung Il-woo seemed more motivated than ever to work and complete as many projects as possible.
Jung Il-woo filmed three dramas this year: Girls Lies (a Chinese drama that never aired), Love and Lies (a Thai drama that aired in 2017) and Cinderella and the Four Knights (a Korean drama). With Love and Lies, Jung Il woo became the first Korean actor to start in a full Thai drama. He also appeared in three episodes of running man and participated as a soccer player in the 2016 Asia Smile Cup.
As if that was not enough he was also in the variety show ‘Star Shop’ where he demonstrated his great … food skills! (in the eating department!)
He treated his fans to many unforgettable moments too. Probably the most amazing of his fan meetings was when he rented a train and a field and invited 300 of his fans to join him in celebrating his 10th anniversary as an artist and his birthday! A day of games and entertainment! He cooked, sang and played games with them!
On November 29, 2016 the news about his aneurysm came along with the alternative military enlistment. I remember not knowing what an aneurysm was and going online and reading and reading like crazy… and then as I understood there was no cure for it … crying and then praying … I still pray, but from a more positive mental space…
He quietly enlisted in his military training on December 8, 2016.
