Happy Summer! In the Northern Hemisphere, today as I’m writing this, is the longest day of the year… it is 7:35 PM and still daytime… (June 21st).  There will be light until 8:23PM. After today, the days will get shorter and shorter… until it becomes completely dark at 4:00PM!

In Reykjavik, Iceland they will have 21 hours and 8 minutes of daylight today, compared to Boston’s 15 hours and 17 minutes!  I’m always very fascinated by astronomical facts like these… it just brings home the point that we are on a sphere floating in space… that is facing a sun… in the arm of a galaxy… in the universe… and I sit on a desk on this sphere writing a post about a man called Jung Il-woo… so surreal…

This guy is amazingly handsome. He even has body figure like a sculpture. His moody eyes seem sad. In addition, a grandson in the super rich family…. He has every condition to attract women’s hearts.

However, he speaks in unexpected way. He is cold-hearted man. He keeps saying “Get lost” to the girl keep bothering him (Eun Ha-won, a role played by Park So-dam). He rarely opens his mind.

‘Cinderella and Four Knights’ is a pre-production drama. Last March, Jung il woo was busy at shooting drama. ‘Dispatch’ also visited him 5 months ago. Therefore we could capture swimming pool scene that appears in the 4th and 5th episodes.

The mansion appears in ‘Cinderella and Four Knights’ is a luxurious pension located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do. There are swimming pool and gym. Jung il woo was sweating for ‘chic & baring’ scene.

I couldn’t help myself becoming a fan of Jung il woo as I saw him working hard. He has four conditions to make women’s hearts fluttering. ‘STARCAST’ explored Jung il woo’s allure. Starting now.

Jung il woo exercised whenever he has spare time. A powerful exercise, indeed. He even missed his meals on the previous day. A will not to accept 0.1 inches of fat?

Ha-won started a mission received from chairman Kang (a role played by Kim Yong-gun) on the 4th episode of ‘Cinderella and Four Knights’. It was to gather three brothers for a dinner. Ha-won targeted Kang Ji-woon first.

STARCAST:  How did you feel before first episode of ‘Cinderella and Four Knights’ to be aired?

Jung il woo:  Complicated? I was anxious but thrilled in the other hand. Several emotions crossed. It is my first pre-production drama. I was nervous like a person who has a movie release ahead.

S : But the results seem successful. It’s a late night drama in cable channel, but achieved 3% of viewer rating.

Jung il woo:  Maybe it’s going viral. I receive calls from people saying the drama is funny. They say it is a fun of something shameful? They say it’s good to watch because they can watch it without worrying something. Some people say they can relieve the stresses of the week.

S : I heard that the drama is sold to 63 overseas countries?

Jung il woo:  It is aired in United States, Australia, China, Thailand, etc. at the same time. My friends in overseas contacted me about this. I’m surprised as it is aired in overseas live.

S : How about character Kang Ji-woon? Does it suit you well?

Jung il woo:  Of course it does. He is most similar to me among the 4 knights. Because I’m curt and quiet like Ji-woon. (What happened to your selfie then?) Therefore I felt comfortable while shooting.

S : Then what about that shameful lines?

Jung il woo:  Well, maybe I possess something shameful for myself. I laughed at the comment saying ‘I found myself not changing the channel although it’s shameful’. Because it was exactly what I felt. Haha.

S : What about harmonies with actors such as Ahn Jae-hyun, Lee Jung Shin and Park So-dam?

Jung il woo:  It was fun to shoot with friends in my age. When we finish (shooting) early, we have time for drink. This is a secret, but we had beginning and end with drinks. We built our friendship like that..
