At the very beginning of this year, a terrible Jung Il woo news came to us. We found out that Jung Il woo had an aneurysm, another consequence of his accident from 2006.  Because of this Jung Il woo had to do alternate military service, or civic duty.  He insisted in completing his basic military service and did However I read he did suffer of headaches do to the stress on his body.  These are some photos from his military service and the ceremony of completion, where he took a lovely photo with his mom:

Then he chose to do his civic service at the Seocho Senior Center.  It is a beautiful center located near a huge park, so in a sense it kept him separated form the more congested areas of Seoul.   Here are some photos that surfaced during this year while working there.  We got to see an Ilwoo we had never seen before, cleaning and helping seniors. He even used public transportation.

While doing this his drama Love and Lies aired keeping us quite entertained!   This was so kind of him… leaving something new for us to watch in his absence from the entertainment world…

He looked so together in this drama… older too… I still have to do a page about this drama… !

Later this year, he also participated in the Seocho town Seoripul Festival. It’s a cultural festival highlighting all kinds of artistic activities for the people to enjoy:
