Jung II-woo attended this university between 2008 and 2014. Because of his busy schedule it took him almost six years to get his bachelor degree in theater arts. This university is located in the easter side of Seoul and it’s easy to get to as there is Hanyang University stop in the subway! By the way, Hanyang was the name of the city of Seoul, originally when established as the capital during the Joseon period.
From its website:
Hanyang University is a private research university in South Korea. The main campus is in Seoul, and the second one, the Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan, or ERICA campus, is located in Ansan. Hanyang ( 한양; 漢陽 ) derives from the former name of the capital Seoul which was used during the Chosun Dynasty. Its motto and educational philosophy is Love in Deed and Truth.
The university established the nation’s first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute) in 1939 which became the founding facility of Hanyang University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in Korea.
Hanyang University has an alumni network of 300,000 that is not limited to the field of engineering but also to other fields. In 2015, Hanyang was ranked 1st for the number of CEO alumni of venture companies. In 2017, QS ranked Hanyang University 155th in ‘2017 QS World University Rankings’.
The university enrolls over 3,000 foreign students each year and more than 3,000 students study abroad annually. HYU counts the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Cambridge, and Tsinghua University among its 777 partner universities in 76 countries.

Congratulations Jung II-woo! Great job on finishing college! It will always serve you well!
While Jung II-woo was in Hanyang he was motivated by his teacher to work in a theater production. He ended up acting in one: “Beautiful Sunday” and working as a producer on a second one “Hamlet.”

WITAT (What I Think About This)
September 3, 2018
I feel so happy to finally have good information about his schooling published for the first time to anyone who is interested and curious to know!
Getting to know these little parts of Jung II-woo’s personal history helps me understand better the person he is today. Where he was formed… and in my mind’s eye I can see him in these places… studying, fooling around, playing soccer… As a teacher, this is quite a delight!
Tomorrow is my first day back at school… I feel so happy to be back around the bubbly energy of my students that always brightens my day, and inspires me! I will hear the stories of their vacations, I will see how much they have grown in the summer. There is nothing that can compare to schools really … when they are good, they are great places to grow, learn, and share life! To have fun! I am so thankful to be a teacher!
My greatest wish for this year is gun control… to make our schools safer. Until then may our angels protect us!
