Nov 6, 2013 – Nov 6, 2014
I will start this year with a wonderful photo shoot. What I call the BTN Winter Chess photo shoot. The photographer was Bong Yong Jang. Here are the gorgeous photos:
And I have a surprise, I found a video!!! It is so well…delight full!!!
This was also the year he graduated from Hanyang University. It was on February 20, 2014, almost six years after he started back in 2008. This speaks volumes about Jung II-woo’s hardworking and resilient personality. In spite of being so busy and famous, he finished his college degree. He also studied English and passed the TOEIC test. A double feat!
Here is a video of this important moment…
Photos:
This year Jung Il woo participated in a variety show called Infinite Challenge which included the actors from Running Man. He was so happy, he travelled to the World Cup in Brazil! In this program we get to see the passionate soccer fan Ilwoo is. He rooted for the S. Korean national team in the stadium, on TV and even in the area designated for fans dressed in Traditional Korean clothing.
This is a really funny video of the first program, where he signed a contract with his foot!
Notice the red triangular piece of fabric attached to Ilwoo’s arm. I learned that is for mourning the death of grandparent. The red is added for the grandparent. It is black for one’s parents. They wear it for 49 days, as they believe this is as long as a soul will wait for its final judgement. This is a tradition that came from the Chinese, and buddhism (the 49 days part). One of Jung Il-woo’s grandmother had died recently. He said that crying for his grandmother in Golden Rainbow he felt the pain as if he was crying for his own grandmother.
Here are some photos:
The he filmed The Night Watchman’s Diary. In this, his third historic drama we get to see him wear hanboks in every color of the rainbow and more! Here are some photos… with videos sprinkled around!
These are images Ilwoo posted in his website… really behind the scenes:
He sure works hard to have the body he has! I’m in awe of how flexible he is!!! I don’t think I was ever that flexible… not even when I was like 5!
