The title of the show is the hardest thing to define! I dropped the first part of it to make it simpler… but I have also found it as Fun Restaurant and like the YouTube video translate it to: Stars Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant. What was that last word again? Anyways, you and I know it’s the cooking show where stars get to visit restaurants and have all kinds of culinary fun experiences to then invent a dish. This dish will compete against the other dishes and if it wins, it is released and sold at the convenience store CU all over South Korea.
There is a theme in the ingredients and Jung Il woo won the the third item released: a pork based dish he called:떡쭈빠빠오 (Rice Cake Papao) This was a dish he created from the Macao dish of the same name Papao. It’s like a pork sandwich with caramelized onions… I think the closest thing I have eaten like that is an Italian sub (beef with caramelized onions and peppers)…
So far I have enjoyed this show so much! Jung il woo has shared so much of his life, his taste and the best part… you get to see him eat and cook… cook and eat… and he does these with such delight! And then he is so kind and warm, and sweet… oh! To watch this show: with English subtitles visit kisstvshow. to and go under TV shows. Then choose cooking shows on the right side… and do a search if you don’t see it. They call it the way I simplified it too: Convenience Store Restaurant.
