This is my New year’s Day Gift to Jung Il-woo and fans: A JFrog doll. I will provide outfits that match Jung Il-woo’s dramas and later on some other programs and iconic moments.
This is the JFrog paper doll:
The first outfit? It’s a Prince Yang Myung’s Hanbok! The images you’ll see are .jpg but directly below you will find the corresponding PDF file that will print much better! Delight!

I hope you delight making yours! I am planning to do one for the beginning of every month… covering all of Jung Il-woo’s drama and movie roles.
In case you are curious, here is the process how I made this…
I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted JFrog to look like, so I drew and corrected until I was happy with it. One of the hardest things was deciding where his mouth should go, but in the end I liked the side mouth the best… it looked so cute!
This is my final sketch drawing, you can see a lot of the mouths I erased:
Then I used Adobe Illustrator to re-draw the image. Many people use styluses and digital boards for this, but I’m old school… I learned to draw with my mouse! But as you will see I use a lot of geometric shapes to base my drawing on. Geometry is key to be a good illustrator!
For the clothing I drew it on top looking at photos of Jung Il-woo from the press conference for The Moon that Embraces the Sun. That was the first outfit I ever saw Jung Il-woo in and to this day, it is one of my favorites. He looked so beautiful to me… like an angel that fell from the sky! Then I used an auto tracing tool in Adobe Illustrator, that traces black and white lined art. I like it because it’s faster than drawing with a mouse or stylus and keeps my drawing looking quite hand made. Then I colored it in… coloring is so much fun with the computer…you can try different color combinations and erase so fast!
And here is my own finished cut out doll. Just in case you have never made a paper doll… you fold those gray tabs to hold the clothing onto your doll. You can cut off the tabs and use tape to secure it well…
I decided to start with Prince Yang as this was the first role I ever saw Jung Il-woo in. And finish this post in Jung Il-woo style, let’s watch him as prince Yang shall we? I like this video…by a fan called starrynjs. It shows how beautiful Jung Il-woo was as Prince Yang. This prince stole my heart from the king as I started to watch ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’ because of Kim Soo-hyun. I finished watching it because of Jung Il-woo! If I was the protagonist… I would have run away with this prince!
