Beacon Hill is one of Boston’s oldest and richest neighborhoods, and to me, the best in creating a “Halloween ambiance.” The gas lamps, small alleys and old buildings really give you that eerie Halloween feeling. The decorations on the houses, the people dressed up giving out candy and walking trick or treating… really make a good effort. The people are in a celebratory mood and enjoy each other’s outfits. And the streets are closed off so you can walk worry free and at peak times there are a lot of people. These are my best photos for this year. If you ever come to Boston and want to delight in this holiday, I recommend starting around 6:30PM so you can catch some of the daylight and see the transition into the night… and you get to see all the cutest trick o’ treaters at this time! The really little kids!
