Awoo (아우야) was Jung Il woo’s dog from 2010 to 2019. She was a gift from his Japanese Fans in 2010. She was a Chinese Shar Pei dog. This is a video I made in her memory. It includes most of the photos and videos you will see below.
The first time he introduced his fans to Awoo was during his Korean Fan Meeting later that same year, on September 5th, 2010:
You can really appreciate how small she was in that last photo!
Jung Il woo was featured in CeCi Magazine with Awoo. I think they are the most beautiful photos of them together…
This is a video from the behind the scenes of this photo shoot:
The Second time fans got to enjoy her company was during his first Share Love event in 2012:
Shall we see her owner in that moment a bit better…
SO cute! Here is a video that showcases Awoo:
These are also from 2012… shared in his Tweeter account… he had a lot of fun adding stickers!
His dog always looked sleepy!
Awoo acompanied Ilwoo for an interview at the MBC Section TV “Star-ting” at Café Atelier Fazenda:
These were from her second appearance in a Fan Meeting… the Korean Fan Meeting in November. Cr. On photos.
This is a video of Jung Il woo and Awoo on that day:
These were taken during the photo shoot of his 2015 calendar:
Jung Il woo wished us a happy new year with this image of Awoo in his Instagram account. It was the last photo he shared of her while she was alive.
Jung Il woo treated us with this beautiful video:
Awoo passed away on April 13th, 2019. The following photos and cation were posted by Ilwoo on his IG account sharing with us the very sad news.
Dearest Awoo, thank you for being there for me during the happiest moments of my life and one of worst days too. You’re in God’s loving care forever.
The next days he shared the music that helped him cope and heal his heart…
In trying to find music for her video, I listened to many songs… I wanted a classic piece… and finally when I listened to Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto I knew I had found it. I could imagine her in my head perfectly! Here is the whole piece…
