Welcome to the year 2013 of Jung II-woo’s professional life! This year our dear Oppa was quite the traveler, he tried to meet many of his fans in different countries. He also started the drama “Golden Rainbow.” And… we’ll see! Ready?

One for the year that was:
And one for the year that begins!
WITAT
Boston is at its Spring peak. It is a short but absolutely gorgeous season! I will share some of my most beautiful photos of this season…
The first flowers to blossom are small… like crocuses and white little bells. They appear to show us that small is not necessarily weak, these flowers usually fend off snowstorms like this year. Heck! this year even the tulips had to fight snow!
These are the tulips form the Public Garden, which you will see more of later on…
This last photo was dated March 23rd… then as the temperature starts to warm up… buds and flowers on trees start to appear! It brings such happiness! We know the days of wearing coats and boots are almost over… The first trees to flower here are magnolias, but these may be a bit different to the magnolias you may have seen…these are New England Magnolias. They can be white or pink and more rarely magenta. We have a street that is planted all the way through with these trees: Commonwealth avenue…and it is absolutely majestic to walk there at this time!
These are dated April 23rd. Then people know it’s safe to plant their window pots! And what a delight it is to walk in neighborhoods like Beacon Hill, Back Bay and the North End… they do amazing combinations:
And these are dedicated to the Boston Marathon:
Yes it is a feast to ones’s eyes! And now for an even bigger feast let’s go to…
The Public Garden… this is one of my dreams come true. It is part of my commute to work on most days. Walking through it I always feel absolute happiness. It grounds my energy. If I’m grumpy or sad, somehow by the time I’m done walking through it…I don’t feel so bad anymore. How could I… It is so beautiful! I know every corner… every inch of this park, in every season… it is one of my favorite places in this world. So here is my dear Boston Public garden as it dresses up for Spring…
These are the Swan Boats on the day they made their annual return to the Public Garden on April 12th. They are these pontoon boats that have been operating on the pond since 1877. I always get so excited when they make their come back! To me they mark the true beginning of Spring here in Boston. The oldest in the fleet is from 1918!
And then… Spring has Sprung!!! Every way you look! These are from this week:
People seat on those benches… Jung II-woo I hope you come take a ride with me someday! They are pedal boats, so the guy at the big swan is pedaling.
And Bostonians and non Bostonians know how to make the most of it!!!
This coming up is another of my favorite places in Boston: the Charles River. I sat by the gorgeous cherry blossoms… and petals fell all around me… it’s so magical! It always makes me feel so blessed!
Don’t they look like plum blossoms? And once more I am reminded of someone dear…
And in such a setting… I had a great lunch break! I ate and read… The book I’m reading Pachinko, is a moving story… the main character endures so much! It’s about a woman who was born in Korea and escapes to Japan during World War II, she is weathering the Korean war there at this moment… It is a historical fiction book but still you can get a sense of the horrors of these times in Korea and the treatment of Koreans in Japan. I’m in awe how Koreans have rebuilt their country in such a short time, but I see what a toll it has taken on them. They are like the little flowers fighting snowstorms… I really wish them a time when they can feel safe and not have to work so hard…
The white one is an apple tree… this is a close up of its blossoms… look at the bee!
And just like that… the trees are green again!
I hope you enjoyed this Bostonian Spring ride! It was a pleasure sharing it with you! May life bless you… dream beautiful dreams… if truly believe and nurture them… they do come true!
